The Avengers Booster Club ("we," "our," "us") is a volunteer-run, nonprofit parent booster organization supporting student-athletes at East Greenwich High School, East Greenwich, Rhode Island. This website is operated independently and is not an official publication of East Greenwich High School or the East Greenwich School Department.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our services:

a. Information You Provide Directly

• Name, email address, and phone number (account registration)
• Pass recipient names and emails (booster pass purchases)
• Student name, sport, GPA, and essay content (scholarship applications)
• Student and parent information (senior banquet registration)
• Donor name and a personal message (donations — if you choose to provide one)

a. Payment and Transaction Data

We do not collect, process, or store any payment card data. This includes credit/debit card numbers, CVV/security codes, card expiration dates, or bank account information. All payment transactions are processed exclusively through Square, Inc. on their secure, PCI DSS– compliant hosted checkout pages. When you click "Proceed to Payment," you are redirected to Square's servers. We only receive back from Square: a transaction reference ID, the confirmed payment amount, and the payment status. We never have access to your card details.

c. Automatically Collected Information

• IP address and browser type (standard server logs)
• Pages visited and time spent (analytics)
• Device type and operating system

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To issue, verify, and display your digital booster passes
• To process and record donations and event registrations
• To send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, pass delivery, event reminders)
• To send organizational announcements (you may opt out in account settings)
• To review scholarship and banquet applications
• To operate and improve our website
• To comply with applicable law

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or resale to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Square, Inc. — to create and fulfill payment checkout sessions. Square receives your name, email, and order details in order to process your payment and send you a receipt.
• Our hosting platform (Base44) — our website and database infrastructure provider. Data is stored on their servers.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our organization or others.
• Authorized administrators — volunteer Booster Club board members may access your information to fulfill orders, verify passes, or review applications.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our website is primarily intended for use by parents, guardians, and adult community members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. Scholarship and banquet registration forms may include student information provided by a parent or guardian on behalf of their child.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without consent, please contact us immediately at Egavengerspass@gmail.comand we will promptly delete it.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session and provide a functional experience. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; however, some features (such as staying logged in) will not function without them.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Upon deletion request, removed within 30 days.
• Booster pass records: Retained for 3 years for financial record-keeping purposes.
• Transaction records: Retained for 7 years to comply with nonprofit financial record requirements.
• Scholarship applications: Retained for 3 years after the applicable school year.
• Banquet registration: Retained for 2 years after the event.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls limiting data access to authorized administrators only, and secure third-party infrastructure. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to notifying affected users promptly in the event of a data breach as required by Rhode Island law (R.I. Gen. Laws §11-49.3).

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from non-transactional communications in your account Notification Settings
• Portability — request your data in a portable format

Our website contains links to third-party websites and services including Square (payments), Printify (apparel store), SignupGenius (volunteer sign-ups), and social media platforms. This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island and applicable federal law, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Rhode Island Identity Theft Protection Act (R.I. Gen. Laws §11-49.3).
